Günther Wulff Prazisa running again.

A few weeks ago I bought the above thorough eBay.
I've now reassembled the case as all of the veneer had popped off and the angular supports in the corners had been infested with woodworm.
The mechanism I had to do a nut and bolt strip down, clean out, degrease, oil and reassemble.

Here's the video ...............

nice video, thanks for that. No doubt useful transferable information for other Gunter Wulffs

I was watching it on ebay with a view to adding it to my Duomat, but I think (I know!) that if I'd got it then it would never had been as good as it now.

One of the advantages of living in Blackpool is everywhere is so far to travel it kind of negates impulse buys, shame really as before I retired I travelled extensively, but was so busy travelling extensively I hadn't found time to discover slot machines as a hobby.

Same old story I suppose - If only I'd known then what I know now.

I almost bought one from a guy selling at an antiques fair, bit it had a broken part and the seller would not reduce his price....having said that it was in good condition and now may regret that as it was an easy repair with good case and cash box.....This one is on my neck list......

There is a guy I guess ion Germany who has the best collection of German wall machines, they are mint....a few have been posted here before....a variant of the three reeler is below the Hermes...Look up his videos awesome "t2balli"

my first german was from Harold English, (not a bad place to start was it?) I had seen something on ebay about a year before I think by Slotalot who referred to it being refurbed by "The Legendary Harold English" and it stuck with me. Saw this cheap buy it now fixer up about half five one morning, bid on it, sent him an email saying about collection/payment etc and bugger me if ebay didn't pull it after it was sold! Well we managed to communicate through their system and I went down later that day. He was very poorly by then but we did the tour of the downstairs, we emptied and sorted out the side outhouse and went down to the shed. Came away 4 hours later happy as Larry with 5 machines, but sadly never got to see the stuff he had upstairs or in the attic.

Brilliant, thanks for that.
It looks as if the Prazisa and Hermes are as similar as many GW bandits can be.

That gives me some more payouts to check at the moment I'm waiting to stumble over them by accident. Could take forever.

You'll notice from the videos that reel one has payout lugs similar to the bandits whereas the other two reels have slots similar to payout reels on American Bandits. Both systems in one machine!

The most trificult bit to unsieze was the red nob on the handle. Disconnecting and removing the handle assembly took a couple of hours.
Having gotten the red ball in my hand I needed to extract the brass bush around which the ball should rotate.
It appeared to be an interference fit with simply a film of oil to keep things playing nicely, naturally it was solid with old grease.

I left it in the hot sun for a couple of hours and then poured iced water inside the brass bush. Two changes of water, one smart crack and out it popped. After cleaning out the gunge I had to reassemble it.

This time I placed the bush in the freezer compartment and the ball in near boiling water. Plenty of oil and the job was a good 'un.

School Boy Physics, but it worked!

Picked one up myself today, in great condition, but called the Selecta....looks to be made for the British market as all in English.....just need to get into it, the next challenge....

I saw that one TF.
I'd have given it a whirl if I didn't already have my Prazisa as apart from the name they look the same.

I was also a little squeamish over it being locked, however well done that man.
Keep us up to date on it.

Unfortunatley it is on 1p, but as mentioned the glass is British add-on as is all in english including the currency. There was a thread a while back about Gunter Wulff machines being produced for the UK market and whether done by a British company or the factory, I guess the Selecta is one of those and as late as the currency version time. The manufacturors plate states "Prazisa" which would have been it;s original form. I guess some people just scratched out the german coinage on the original machines and stuck english instructions on and some machines were properly revamped.
