Although this is not coin operated, I hope everyone agrees that this machine's mechanism earns it a place here. It's certainly the best visual mechanism I can recall.

Here's something I ran across in the train station at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Unfortunately it didn't work, and I didn't take more pictures, much less a video clip. It was from the old penny arcade that they used to have on main street until they turned it into a store back in the 90s.
