Enter the Honourable Judge's favourite tavern for a dram of Tittle Tattle. There's an ancient bandit in the corner, but I forget his name...

World Cup soccer

Postby john t peterson » Sun Jul 05, 2015 12:15 am

Before the site goes black, I want to extend congratulations to your women's soccer team, kicking German butt this afternoon. (I was going to say "balls" but realized such could be misconstrued.)

In honor of their defeat, Germany will, for today, be known as "Saxony."

Well done, ladies. !!CHEERS!!

Just trying to stay in touch with my feminine side, Mr.PM. I've decided that women need to take charge of the world; we blokes have made a mighty mess of things. :#:

All credit to the women for taking up this sport, but I found it to be awful and never lasted much more than about ten minutes of those matches I tried to watch. I think they televised this tournament one lifetime too soon.

Roll on women's snooker.... '!'
