Genuine 1960s Bandit Stand for sale......

Post by badpenny »

So there I am dragging stuff out of my ex home in Coventry some of which I was planing to store in Derby and then the rest I would take to Lincoln.
As I loaded two '60s bandit stands into the van I wondered if Sally would like one for the growing collection of bandits that she keeps finding in her house :!?!:

So I MMS'ed her a photo of them to her by phone and asked her opinion.

"ooh I like the red one" she replied.
After unloading at Derby I kept the red one on the van and it duly arrived with me at home in Lincoln.
"Oh dear, I thought it was more red than that" she smiled, "No I don't want that in the house"

EXCELLENT !!SUICIDAL!!

So ....... anyone out there want to take advantage of my predicament?
I don't plan to be visiting my stores in Derby for weeks, and don't want it rattling around in my van.

It's good and sound, very '60s, Formica and aluminium. When I bought it had a Jennings Galaxy perched on it, it would of course look superb with any bandit on it as it is rock solid and very strong.
Collect from Lincoln, arrange your own courier or I'll deliver £1 a mile from me to you.

£85 PM me through the forum

I should be able to start listing more junk and crap over the next few days, so best you all just hide or merely ignore any posts from me, none of it'll be worth having. :NBG:

If you're serious about the Mills spares, get a surface shipping cost for the lot and let me know. I'll make you an offer. PM me.

OK .... it can't stay in the van and it's still not allowed in the house, so ....... £65 saves it from the compost heap.

I had several PMs and most amusingly not a single one about the stand.

Is the Governor for sale? Every thing has a price make me an offer ........ Silence.

Why does the Hi-Top have an odd base? It hasn't it's standing on the underside of an upturned metal framed table. The frame looks like it belongs to the table, but it's part of the table.

What's the space rocket? It's a siren originating from an American ambulance and dating back to 30-40s (probably left here after 1945) I got it from a showman. It had been used as the starter on a travelling dodgems for 40+ years. I suspect it's 24 volt however emits a hell of a wail on 12 volts. No I don't need it, I want £120 and it shall go to Swinderby end of May if it's still available.

I've got it sussed! This bandit stand problem of mine.

The situation so far.
It's not allowed in the house.
Oh I thought it was red, no I don't want that in here
I'll paint it
ooh no, that would ruin it
And you don't think sticking it on the compost heap in the garden will harm it then?
Garden?! ... you'll have to leave it in your van

Well, now that the cost of refined industrial oil has exceeded two groats an imperial noggin there's no way I'm chauffeuring a piece of 60s Arcadia around Lincoln every time I need a pint of milk from Morris'cos.
I offered it here at £85 ..... no interest
I dropped the price to £65 .... the lack of responses came flooding in.

So here's an idea....... I'll give you a fiver to come and take it away
