It is worth sorting out all the copper 1ps and 2ps to keep, not for the scrap but to provide excellent stock to run the early decimalised bandits (e.g. Aristo, Sega Windsors and Jubilees) whereby the coin slides match the copper coinage (10 coin payout will pay 10 and not 9 when the steel type are used). I sorted through £30 in 1ps using the magnet method and got enough copper 1ps to fill the tube of an Aristocrat and have a pot of about 150 left over for playing through. Of course, now I get proper payouts. I think there could be a market for selling them on ebay just for this reason, they are pretty hard to come by. Considering I had 3000 pennies, I didn't even get 10% in copper pennies.
