Just wondering if any members knew of the cheapest way to have something shipped from Dublin.
Said item is £250, the weight is, say, about 85kg.
Looked at collecting myself, but the ferry was £295 return, so wondering if anyone knew of a regular traveller who might bring said item over. I could collect this side at Holyhead.
Please bare in mind, said item worth about £250 but I don't mind spending within reason to import it.
Your help much appreciated.

http://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/ offer a good range of lift and shifts. The weight is the problem here - it will need to go on a pallet and be well strapped down. There are loads of carrier websites out there. Don't go to the main carrier company websites, you will pass out when you see how much they try to get away with. Dublin is EU, so no import tax or customs to pay, I think.

Have a look at http://www.shiply.com I have used them a couple of times with good results, although within the mainland. Depends if there are regular couriers on the route looking for more traffic.

I tried those suggestions, it worked for me. However, is it true that Canadian cents are dead? Canada has minted no pennies since last year, and now it has officially stopped circulating them as well. A comparable move has been discussed in the United States for more than 20 years, but a decision still remains in limbo. I heard this news this morning.

Yes, I can answer that ....there are no more pennies in Canada.
It cost more to mint a penny than it's worth. Not even made out of copper any more.
You know how the banks have been nickle and dimeing us for years with all the fees and charges.
Well, one good thing about having no penny, is when I go into a bank and cash a check, they round it up to the nearest 5 cents.... So let's say my check is $74.93 ....I will get $74 .95... For once I'm getting money from the bank, 2 or 3 pennies at a time.
