Is The Beast two thirds more of a writer than me?

Re: Is The Beast two thirds more of a writer than me?
Nearly eight years since I joined Pennymachines, jimmy55 ........ but nearly fifteen years since I got the piece of paper that ended my career as a Senior Manager in Industry as a Human Resources Director............ Woo Hoo
The way I look at it, at least I know what the problem is, and it lies in the heads of others ..... not mine.
However jimmy55, promise me you'll not tell anyone else, they're all too worried about their own state of mind and might not cope knowing I've got mine sussed........... What Me Worry?

If we eat enough Tesco burgers we could all probably stand on all threes.
I heard they've found some zebra in their barcodes now.

Tescos are trying to make the best of it, they are trying for a reverse Royal warrant, "The royal family, by appointment, horse meat suppliers to Tescos"
Keep up the good work BP, ALL forums rely on a few good men to keep them interesting and up to date. Most forum members enjoy the contact but contributing is not their "thing" (this post is a good example, over 100 reads but only 5 replies). Nothing wrong with that, each to his own.
So keep posting, always interesting, well at least never boring

Re: Is The Beast two thirds more of a writer than me?
I see Treefrog will reach 1000 post by tomorrow and I'm up to 630 in just over 2 years, which the forum stats tell me is 0.76 posts per day. How sad is that
Re: Is The Beast two thirds more of a writer than me?
All this horse shit about burgers should wake people up to what actually goes into cheap burgers (and many other processed foods). Mechanically recovered 'meat', that is the mainstay of these things, is the dross that is steam cleaned from carcasses after everything else is cut away and has to be reconstructed to resemble meat, before being flavoured and coloured. This is then added to cereal, powdered protein and fat, squished and flattened, popped in a nice shiny box so you can feed it to the kids, safe in the knowledge it does not contain horse, goat, donkey or any other cuddly animal.
The real scandal, moving forwards, is that 100 squillion billion perfectly 'good' burgers will go to waste because giving them away would be a PR disaster for the supermarkets.
I'm struggling to come up with a slot related topic here, but I'm sure the combined wit of the forum will think of something

Well done BP on keeping us all entertained!
By the way, I have been told that Tesco meatballs are the dog's bollocks........ (am I allowed to say that?)

Goaded by this into adding a comment, I observe that my contribution rate is only 0.2 per day. Shameful. Although I am guided by Tom Lehrer's advice in the introduction to one of his songs that if a person doesn't have anything to say, then the least he can do is to shut up.coppinpr wrote: this post is a good example, over 100 reads but only 5 replies

Apparently there's a poll of Tesco's customers to find their opinions on horse meat... conducted of course by Gallup.Bandito wrote:By the way, I have been told that Tesco meatballs are the dog's bollocks
Anyway, I just found some out of date burgers........ and they're off!!
Good thing about all these horse puns is that it's stopped all the sick Jimmy Saddle jokes.

You can get the best of both worlds in the "Tesco's finest" range both larger and juicer - look for the "geldings Goolies" labelBy the way, I have been told that Tesco meatballs are the dog's bollocks

As a very wise friend of mine said recently .......
Well done Pike, I wondered which one of you would be first to notice.
