Wouldn't surprise me if he went out of business - the few times I've seen it he has driven two-handed at least 500 miles and bought next to bugger all.

They used to have a museum attached to the pub. It had quite a few vintage slots in it, including a full set of Bryans Magic machines!!! But don't get too excited - it was all sold off years ago. :dammit:

There is an antiques barn near me, usual thing: areas rented out to different people, the owner has put lots of items on a ledge that runs around the walls to "give the place some charm". He won't sell these items because, "it would make the place look drab". One of the items is a clown catcher. :o

I happened to stay in Lewes last year for a weekend with friends and visited that two story antiques place. Spotted the Clown and eventually was given the price of 1100 pounds! Strangely, I didn't buy. !PUZZLED!
But I adored Lewes, the loveliest town I've ever visited in the UK! I really liked the hill top position of much of it, so every building is on a unique angle making it ever changing and interesting.

The next time you're behind him in the queue for the dunny, tap him on the shoulder and suggest it Andy.

All Andy has to do is "lose" some important parts of that Coronet and I'll be all over it like stink on a june bug!

I hadn't realised until he mentioned it to me the other day that the mech was mostly hand made - which adds to it's interest no end. But on my budget I can only afford projects. And I've learnt a hell of a lot more from researching & restoring them than just by collecting them.

What a horrible, cold, inhuman website.
Is it written by emotionless observers from a distant planet?
Dreadful.

This looks like a site of internet trawled information and not much people would know or questionable on how true it all is, although I never knew his dog had died.

Drew will always get criticism from those who do not like his style, perhaps perceived confidence and knowledge, jealousy I suspect, but I for one am a huge fan and look forwards to each series. Also enjoy the restoration programs as there are always useful snippets of info one can use in our hobby........I have never had any interest in gutter press or trawling through people’s personal life......roll on next set of programs !!THUMBSX2!!

close enough,, it would be computer generated from an info trawl ,the only human input comes from the person who types the subjects name in at the start, this kind of trawl is never good (in fact no kind of trawl is any good) as it causes snippets to be taken out of context and even contradict itself
