Deluxe Buckley Digger project
Anyone seen one lately, I have been after one for ages now!
Last one I saw was at a Christies auction in London, I did bid but narrowly lost out to another collector!

Re: Buckley Digger
Buckley cranes sometimes come up for sale but the Deluxe Digger is very hard to find. Last year there was one for sale on ebay. I think the seller was in Switzerland.

Re: Buckley Digger
Thanks that's great!
I'm Nigel, by the way!
I already have a streamline Merchantman and an Electric Travelling Crane with the Candy Vendor!
I love the Art Deco appearance of the Deluxe Buckley and would love to have one of those too!
Any idea how much the one on ebay went for??

Hi Grabber
I see from the 2010 what now? post that one of your projects is a Buckley digger deluxe!
Any chance of putting a good pic up?
Would love to see it!
Thanks, Nigel.

Re: Buckley Digger
There are two Deluxe Buckley crane sales recorded in the Arena, both from 2006 - one at Southern Counties, Salisbury; the other at Christie's, London (maybe the one you remember?). You'll have to subscribe if you want to know what they made
Also the yellow and green painted deco crane below - is it Buckley or another manufacturer? Sadly James Roller's Digger site has not re-appeared.
My favourite Buckley is the bijou counter-top Jewel Box digger. I haven't seen one of those on the market for years either.
One of our members is selling a smart Exhibit Supply on ebay at the moment: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LOVELY-EXHIBIT-SU ... 2eab840ed6

Re: Buckley Digger
Hi Penny Machines and thanks for your input.
The green and yellow crane is a "Wonder Crane", not sure whether British or American but Simon Stern had one for sale on his website 2 - 3 years ago.
The first digger you have uploaded is the actual one from Christies 2006 sale!
It was from the Nic Costa collection and went for £2400!
I know this as I bid £2300 and wish I had of bid more now!
James roller site is still active??

Viv's Blue Streak Crane is indeed, very nice, but it's the Buckley I am after!

Re: Buckley Digger
That's a relief - James' site has been off-line for a week or more and I was already missing it. The best coin-op crane resource on the net.Nigel wrote:James roller site is still active??
