Come on guys, I know we have intelligent people here. I was hoping for some advice otherwise I will have to undo the wiring harness and trace all the wires, but I won't rest till it's right, but I don't know how it should work. It now pays, holds work, but a circuit seems down as a couple of relays and a motor don't work. !PUZZLED!

I seem to remember having a Maygay AWP very similar game to this (but arcade version) and of similar age and the hardest number to achieve in the grid ( usually the centre number) was controlled by a separate jackpot relay that energised the reel hammers whenever that particular symbol hit the winline and prevented the reels bringing that symbol in. This came into play whenever the 10p coin level dropped lower than the coin level microswitch on the tube but was not noticed by the player and reactivated when the 10p coins topped up again.

Hi guys,
I'm attacking this machine soon, and she is superb, looks great, but still need ideas and or circuit diagrams, otherwise I will have to cut all the looms and spend hours with a test meter. :(

Which is why you're a better man than me GP67.
I've consciously taken the decision not to have machines that depend on electramication that does anything more than than make small glass spheres glow incandescently, spin a motor or click a ... errrr ..... clicker!

The moment I see a plastic sheet with small plastic bobbly bits or what looks like a collection of Dolly Mixtures sprinkled haphazardly I chew garlic to ward off Black Magic (other chocolates are available)

Also since a German RotaMintaMataDua bit Sally and saved her a trip to the hairdressers I no longer have anyone handy to test drive them for me after I've remantled them with no expense used.

Keep up the good work GP67 and always wear your wellies when you stand in a bucket of water during a storm as you mend things.

Right, got the meter out and spent some time on this today. I've found a few faults so far, one being the motor pictured. It's an 8 RPM synchronous 240 volt AC peardrop type gearbox. Has anyone got one please, or even better two, as another is very worn. Beer tokens await. I have plenty of 50 volt, but no 240.

No worries, I've managed to fit another motor to the existing gearbox. I could sort your machines no problem. I do mechanical, electro mech and some electronic.

Well done
Yes I need a similar motor off my big wheel
I had in the arcade last summer
A penny trapped it's self on the bottom of the carousel
And jammed the wheel going round
Which must of burnt it out
It works on 240,well it plugs in to 240
But it's only a small thing ,bit bigger than an old penny
There may be a converter in there to knock it down
It's in the fix me pile so not looked
Proper
Will I buy one of these of the shelf
It is 60s tho

is it a table top like jameisons.if it has no transformer inside its likely 240 volt,it should be easy to get something to work, send me some pics of motor,it may be a round unit made by crouze and they were shaded pole.widely used in the 60s,most synchronus motors have a pear shape gearbox, shaded pole have many plates together like a transformer
It is 60s tho

cant see the motor, but pretty sure its a crouze shaded pole.Approx 4 inch dia and similar depth.Normally held on with 4 small bolts at top of motor, the playfield should be held in with a couple of screws and then the whole thing slides out the cab.Probably same motor as easy push and many other table top models like roto soccer

Yep,if its 2 inch dia i would assume about 15mm deep or thick, its a synchronus motor.Normally these have the pear shaped gearbox mounted on top.Although the gearbox could be round like the motor and mounted directly above,so it may look like 2 motors together, you may have to alter mountings but easily available on the bay for under a tenner, microwave turntable motor.Geared and quite powerful, anywhere between 5 and 10 rpm, should do for that machine as im guessing it will rotate slower than a standard pusher, and they are normally 15 to 20 rpm.
