Re: Freedom
When you say "Got Rid" what exactly do you mean? Taken to the local tip, dumped in the country?

First thing the photo brought to my mind was an army of one armed robots about to march on the north of England,(one in the second row is actually winking at the camera).
This is why I sometimes refer to some of the guys on the forum as "gurus" the rest of us are mere acolytes

Blimey! I thought having eleven bandits was pushing it.
Mind you, I do have one Continental and that must weigh the same as least half of these hi-tops put together!
I am looking forward to hearing your full story, TF.

Re: Freedom
I suppose the word rid, perhaps was a bit exaggerated, I guess what I meant was rid from the house and into storage....Been looking for a lock up for a long time and wanted to buy one, but they are rare as hens teeth. The only things that come up are garages and they are overpriced and too small. So given up waiting and rented a container in a secure location and have almost filled it, all 40ft....even decked it out in industrial pallet racking taking 2 tonnes per shelf. Life is a lot easier now and keep a select small number to view and bring out the odd machine to work on, should have done it ages ago. Even have fitted a great security system that works well, although of course I cannot diverge what it is on here

Re: Freedom
Reminds me of the enterprising illegal mobile casinos set up in the southern states of the US in the 60's, whole thing set up in the back of a massive truck and just drove around while people played inside out of sight of the law, Just lift you container on to a flat bed, truck or train and your ready to go

So I see, that's cool with me.
Re: Freedom
That is a great space-making idea, Treefrog.
I have been running out of room for my tiny collection for some time. I wonder if a 40ft container would be enough to store the wife, three dogs, two daughters, four grandkids and their toys plus other crap? Security would have to be strong (to keep them in) plus, soundproofing would be a good idea (must care for the environment). Food for thought.....
