Re: Pan Amusements large laughing clown
He has two vintage arcades on the go, one at Botany Bay and the other down the road at Bygone Times...

Re: Pan Amusements large laughing clown
Thanks Slotalot. I'll update Archive/Locations.
Some tidy machines there. I should make a trip up North.
So what's a Pan Amusements Laughing Clown, when it's at home.
And which arcade is graced with its presence?

Re: Large Pan Amusements Laughing Clown
Pan Amusements Laughing Clown is nothing to write home about, in a very tall, slim glass and wooden case, 1970s. A uppet jigs about up and down on central spring from above to the sound from an 8 track player.
Now a rare original 1953 Modern Enterprises cased Len Insull Laughing Clown, that's a different thing altogether!
Darren's clown is at Botany Bay, Chorley Lancs.
A great penny arcade, not so far from me, and has a good mix of working models and wall machines and novelty machines and puppet shows. Definitely worth a visit, and some odd machines that tempt you into playing rather than only the usual you've seen before elsewhere, which is showmanship and what operating is all about. My favourite machine there is a Kraft King Tut working model.
