Stu, just had a quick look and really awesome collection of location shots! Keep up the good work. Some of the photos and text are a little squashed like the later Hawtins jukebox, and some of the Bryans machines need captions as to what they are, obviously most of us know but many others wouldn't. And one location photo date was off, "Skegness Pier 1920" - but there is a 1927 Essex two player game shown. !!>*<!!

Hi Stuart.
I just donated on the strength of that Bergmann Imperator restoration.
I think it's a fantastic job considering you found it in a compost heap/garden & it was veneered and it had silk screened glass and had been basically left to rot.
Not many so brave to tackle this, lol
If I ever need help in recreating glass for a broken top of a console slot, I will seek you out for advice if that's OK?

I just wanted to echo Nigel's comment.
The work you did on that (possibly unique in this country) machine was an inspiration.

Whoever had left that beauty to rot outside should be well hung ..... even though he paid £25 for it to someone who was in the process of heaving it onto a bonfire in order to recycle any brass in it.
I understand his wife (at the time) displayed an amazing facial expression when he shoved it onto the back seat of his (up until then immaculate) Jaguar S type.

Still no excuse for leaving it out in the snow.

BP
ps ... I am not well hung. :#:
