Reels spinning slowly at times
Reels spinning slowly at times
The machine in question is a Mills Romanhead
The reels spin correctly, but on the odd time, the reels hardly move when the dagger arm is pulled.
Could this be caused by the kicker not making contact with the reels correctly, and if so, why only the odd time?
I would say this happens about 1 in every 10 pulls.
Is this a common fault and can it be sorted easily?

It's common enough that we created a thread in Tips & Tricks linking to previous diagnoses: Reels not spinning correctly

Re: Reels spinning slowly at times
Your answer will be in the thread Mr P lists above. If it's all three reels, it will almost certainly be the retaining arm at the rear that holds the reels in place ready for the kicker, so check those threads on the list first.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, Paul it's all 3 reels. I'm sure it just needs a slight adjustment.
