Parts for Oliver Whales "Win a Polo" needed

Post by andershoejland »

Dear Forum,
I just found this Oliver Whales Polo in quite good shape, but parts are missing. Can someone help me identifying what is missing and help me where to find them?
Most important is the winning cups.

Thanks in advance,
Anders

Welcome to the forum.
Very nice looking machine there, never seen a Win a Fruit Polo one before only the mint version. Looks to be in really nice condition also.

Bad news is you're missing the win cups, as you said, but also the payout mechanism and holder that holds the packets of polos and delivers them on a win.

Trying to find them would be quite hard but you could try putting a wanted advert in the market, or if you can find someone with a similar machine you could copy the parts. They are not that hard to make if you've got one to copy off.

Just by coincidence I spotted that the Elephant House have the same version in their Feb auction URL+REMOVED+BY+SITE+ADMIN# ... ?lot=18185
Might be worth seeing if you can blag a pic of the inside from Steve or, at worst and if you're able, going to the auction preview and takes some pics of it to give you something to work on! All's fair, etc.

I see there is also a 7 ball win gallery in the auction too. I'm sure the knowledgeable allwin people will be able to say if it's the correct one or could be revised to fit maybe?

Anders is based abroad but he has spent sometime in the UK. Hopefully if he's not about for the auction someone could post some pictures of the same or a sister machine's innards?

Welcome Anders, here are some old photos - not very good quality - taken off the net some while ago but hope they help. They are all Oliver Whales.

I wonder if that Elephant part is from a Nostalgic allwin, as it looks very shiny and new.

I do have a few gallerys somewhere. I know I have a complete Wonders one with fascia, but did have some others somewhere. Will have a dig, but no guarantees.

Thank you very much for all your answers. I would really like to attend the Elephant Auction next time buying the win cups, but can't since I'm in Denmark now. I have been there lot of times and bought several machines there. Will try to email Steve with a bid on those.
Anyone who has info of collectors who might have parts I need? Or any web page with parts for allwins ?

Yes, it is. These are not suitable for Whales machines - different size.

Someone must have read your post as there is a homemade chocolate chute on eBay, no idea if suitable and seems to be for smaller chocolate bars..
