Machines wanted

Post by mr merrivale »

Hi Guys
I am looking to purchase machines that need attention or not, anything considered from arcade to to wall machines. If you are considering selling please ring. I have bought two collections over the last two years so please contact me if you are considering selling yours, one to fifty machines, the good and the bad, not just the best bits. They are required for a second old penny arcade I'm considering opening.

Hello Pete,
Andy P here down in Upsidedownland.
I have 13 antique Mills/Jennings/Watling & Keeney machines which sadly, due to loss of job have to be off-loaded.
Probs not best for an arcade but if you're a collector of truly wonderful old slots mine are pristine, 100% ridgy-didge originals.
Am barred from ebay coz Aussie rules forbid selling coin-ops in Victoria.
Pls PM me if interested.
Many thanks,
Andy P.

Yes, I agree with Dutchboy, very sad that you have lost your job.
Hopefully, something will come along soon so you can retain them.
So are you saying you cannot advertise them for sale where you live?
I cannot see many collectors would be willing to ship a collection from Australia to UK? Unless the machines were very cheap it would surely not be viable?

About 5 years ago it cost £65 to ship by sea a WW1 Thornycroft lorry engine including it's firepump subframe in a crate about 5ft x 4ft x 3ft from Australia to Southampton UK; how much then by road from Southampton Docks to Axminster, Devon ------ £85 :o

My brother shipped a crate from Scotland to Perth... Magic number for best shipping rate is 1 cubic metre. Rate jumps over that.
