to coincide with the publication of a great new book on UK pleasure piers (The British Pier,The Postcard collection ,Nigel Sadler, available at a bargain price on our site)
we have launched a section on British Piers, Unlike most of our pages this will be a work in constant progress and will rely on photo/postcard contributions from interested parties,so take a look guys and send in your photos, full acknowledgement given. www.penny-arcade.info

Don't want to be picky on what is a brilliant website but can I just point out a correction to the Info on the BDR/BMR Collection ref Harry Dolman - not slot related but just to get the records right he was Chairman and President of Bristol City FC, rather than Bristol Rovers and even had a stand at City's ground at Ashton Gate named after him. Probably irrelevant to 99% of slot fans but thought I'd mention it in case there are any Bristol City fans amongst us :didact:
(no, I'm not one - seem to recall I spent most of my youth in the fifties and sixties between supporting Bristol Rovers and playing the Allwins on Weston Super Mare Pier!)

So you know I always ask the awkward questions.......so given so far all the machines being sold are the website owners machines, why should people pay to list when Mr PM doesn't on this site, neither does Melright for Bryans machines and our slot repair man on his site......

Another thing, please do a database of machines, ALL British operated coin op machines, including bandits we could contribute to.....would fantastic.......

Ignore me at your will

Thanks for the feedback Tom.
I'm not surprised you're confused, so am I. I've just checked and The Market on http://www.penny-arcade.info/ has disappeared completely, unless I took a wrong turn somewhere.
Likewise the update that offered free listing for all that registered. In short placing an item there is free.

I don't see who owns a machine for sale is an issue, it's a machine for sale at the end of the day.
However I am aware that shortly (awaiting details) a nice example should be appearing which like the current allwin does not belong to either of us.

As soon as you send us your photos and details of ALL British operated coin op machines, including bandits we could contribute to.....would fantastic.......
We'll consider the task. I the meantime you can always refer to your copy of Carters.

Happy days
