Not such a mystery then!!
Mystery payouts? Hardly, I don't think I've ever seen that on a payout card before?
That has to be the worst top box, ever, on a machine with the most boring special payouts imaginable!

Re: Not such a mystery then!!
I would love an Explanation of the famous mills Mystery mechanism.
What are the mystery payouts if there are no melons??
I always thought the Mystery alluded to 3 -5 payouts on the cherries instead of the traditional 2 -4 payouts?
Can anyone enlighten me?

Re: Not such a mystery then!!
A lot of Sega machines have mystery payout option and, as you say, usually involve a Cherry and another fruit to win a two or five coin payout.... Some people think the payout is wrong, but as marked in all mystery machines these are intentional... No idea what is on this machine - looks non standard.
Re: Not such a mystery then!!
I've got a Sega with mystery payouts, I am testing it and had two payouts today but only made a note of one of them. It was orange-bell-£ and paid out 10.

That's an interesting decimal conversion, isn't it?
It must date from the early '70s, when tanners were still in circulation, but the rest of the coins were either decimal, or re-defined in decimal terms.
It may have survived long enough to be de-converted easily as a collector's item.
