Mills Poinsettia
Hi, My Mills Poinsettia does not payout when the mech is in the cabinet, there in no final ‘click’ take the mech out and it works and payouts fine. Any ideas, thanks, Adrian
Re: Mills poinsettia
I remember I had the same problem. When I manually reset the jackpot it worked fine again.

Re: Mills poinsettia
Following on from Dutchboy's comment does it only happen after a JP win?
Use a torch and watch the slides release bar when the mech's in the case.
It's possible the mech has been dropped at some point and if it's clamped onto its base plate it's being twisted a bit putting a friction jam on either the release bar, the horizontal fingers or the slides themselves.
You've not given us a lot to work on .....
Answers to these would help us eliminate some things: -
Has it suddenly started doing it?
If so, had you done anything to it before the problem?
Have you seen all combinations of wins operate?
Is it operating on pre-decimal coins or has it been converted to work as a money bank on decimal?
If you place the mech on a flat service and push down on all four corners one at a time can you rock the mech?
Alteratively when in the case and not secured in place, can you then rock the mech?
Tractors have massive banks of spotlights and kiddies get driven to school in massive 4X4s, so Why do we still mess around with the clocks twice a year?

Thanks for your replies, it has been like it since I had it. Think it pays okay on all winning combos when out of the case. I will answer other questions when I can get to it, kitchen is being replaced and the poor poinsettia is covered in furniture, household goods etc.

Re: Mills Poinsettia
I was thinking the same BP, that's why I too asked if it was a new problem. I've just worked on a Jennings that had a handle problem when in the case but was fine when out and that looked to have been dropped. It had the wobbles out of the case and the push down retaining bars on the case pushed the mech out of line when you closed them to shut the back door.
What with? A games room I hope.
