Hey all, I've been doing up this blog series called Niche Collections, and was wondering if anyone here would be up for participating? The main goal is to help expose a wider audience to the cool parts of the coin-op world they might not know about, and to show off awesome collections. And maybe to let collectors tell a few stories along the way.

Do you have a portion of your collection focused on certain makers, eras, themes? Game types? Rare slots? Curious european penny games? Italian or Spanish pinball machines? drop case machines? Games from regions like France, Germany, Japan, or elsewhere?
please email me thetastates@gmail.com to discuss!

I know there are more than a few of you on here with really cool collections, so I thought I'd ask publicly before I start bugging you all one at a time. :)
Worst case scenario, I know at least a few of you will really enjoy these.

Here's where the series is so far:

Niche Collection 001: Scottie's Allwins http://pinballnovice.blogspot.com/2020/ ... lwins.html
Niche Collection 002: pindude152's bingos http://pinballnovice.blogspot.com/2020/ ... ingos.html
Niche Collection 003: Craig's one-ball horse race pinballs http://pinballnovice.blogspot.com/2020/ ... horse.html

We always say not to put your email address into a thread on the forum.
This site is trawled daily by bots, some genuinely seeking answers from the known key search engines. However others are harvesting email addresses to sell to Spammers etc.
The alternative is to request contact through this site's messaging service or to post your website's contact page.

BP

oh gosh I don't mind my email being out there. I have a good process in filtering spam out of my inbox.

Of course it would be great to see the collections and blogs on this site ;-)

I did read your interesting post on the Cascade, but serious point though, I had always seen this site as for stories as well as people asking questions, which of course a small hard core few respond to......perhaps something for MR PM to think about....

Thanks for the blog on the Arrangeball. I have one of these and could not find any info on it.

Come join us at pachitalk if you have question on it!
Can you post a photo of the center feature below the number grid? It's blurry in your photo.
Does yours work OK? I own 2 myself (in the lineup next to my Win A Spangles) and I really enjoy them.

Here's the picture of the center and it works well, like playing a bingolette

Thank you for sharing. I've never seen one with the 4 pockets below the grid like that. What are the rules for payouts?

A cool and very unusual collection. Nice to see so many first generation Pachinkos all in one place.

Thank you! I will add those to the post later this weekend.
I thought a bit about the specific criteria I wanted to use and I decided to not list machines where the ball is launched via a spiral, so that first one, the BM Co All Winners, wouldn't meet my criteria, but the other 2 do as it's the spiral itself that is the whole of the gameplay.

Do you know when that BMCo All Winners is from? It seems nearly identical to a Japanese patent document I have.

I don't see why the BM Co doesn't fit in? I can see the "Whirl Wind" above is a spiral machine because the spiral decides the winner but the "All Winners" is a standard allwin with one extra set of rails. In fact, the "Chip or Bust" has the same number of rails as the "All Winners". !PUZZLED!
