Hi all,

I'm new to this site and I'm hoping that you can help me to gather some information on a postage stamp vending machine belonging to my father. He acquired this as part of his retirement present (strange gift, but he appreciated it a lot!) from his time working at a university.

We know the following info, but any more insight you can provide would be extremely helpful. In particular, we are keen to see if anyone can help with a valuation as eventually he'd be keen to sell it on to a collector so that it can be properly appreciated:

- Circa 1960's wooden cabinet style Stamp vending machine
- It would have held a large roll of coil stamps which dispensed in strips
- Although the machine is now empty a large strip of "Poached Eggs" (see image) still remains in the base. Those poached eggs were used when installing a new stamp roll. They ensured the new roll was feeding properly, and are now very collectible in their own right.

Looking forward to hearing any info you can provide!

Katrina

Hi
I'm 95% sure the stamp vending machine you have was a G1. I've got a similar vender in my collection.
It would have vended out 5 stamps at a time
