TF Global Media Enterprises?

However, they may well not be for sale, that is unless he hears the sound of lots of notes

Of course copies can be made.......

Wish I was a music mogul

Yes always interesting how quick people put things on eBay from site posts. Maybe to avoid paying the site a fees for sale or wanted items, but I guess they are not allowed to say.....”I have some if your interested” which is a shame or course. The seller Rob or Rippy is selling them for a lot less than I paid, so a bargain and includes the third in the series of food vendors. There was another one for sale by the original seller still selling thousands on eBay of fruit machines in a pub, but was only interested in the two I shared. Another one of those odd things we buy for no good reason, especially if you can’t even play them.

What a job though, spending your life going around the country with your tape recorder capturing odd noises or background noise in various normal environments for the pleasure of BBC radio and TV productions....in the early days of live productions they had to make the noises on demand using their imagination.

If it is of any help I own two old penny arcades based in Norfolk and you're welcome to contact me re recording the sounds you need, i.e. bandits, allwins, cranes, laughing saliors, working models, two player games, etc.

Pete, as with so many people who join the forum, the person who started this thread never logged in again or responded from their initial post.....one wonders why we bother responding, but you can only but try. :!?!:

But now you mention it, I must get up to your arcades to listen to the sounds.....

Slot Sounds

Hi everyone. I hope this is the correct area to post a thread like this. Apologies if it isn't! I'm currently putting together a little library of casino related sound effects and I thought I'd reach out here if anyone's able to help me out (when lockdown is over!) If anyone has any bandits sitting around and would be alright with me popping over with my microphones, or if you have a semi-reasonable mic yourself, it'd be great to collect the sounds your machines make! I'm interested in getting some old slot arms, pennies being inserted, dropping, reels spinning etc. That clunky mechanical stuff. I'm based in North Hertfordshire.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there, you may get a helpful member offering, but another thought, there are traditional arcades full of machines still out there. I believe someone else about three years ago asked exactly the same thing and one arcade owner offered to help up in Norfolk.. see below thread.*

Ooh thanks for that, I'll get in touch with him, some other useful leads to follow there too. Going through the suggested threads it seems this comes up every few years haha, I might check how the other sound people got on too. Cheers!

Just found this wonderful treasure trove of historical British sound recordings: London Sound Survey
Sadly only one amusement arcade track though, and that's King's Cross 2010.
