Aristocrat Fiesta

Hi all,
I have just purchased an Aristocrat Fiesta for restoration. I have been getting more into these recently and love the way they work and the way they are relatively quiet compared to other bandits.
The artwork and award card are very badly damaged and the mech is a whole other story. Has anyone by chance got a scanned copy of these (The Fiesta sign and award card)
This would help me out a lot!

Thanks :)

To whittle it down am I right in thinking this is an Arcadian?

My guess is that it was this little ebay beauty. Somewhere I thought I had original plastics for this machine, but haven't managed to find them on the first look.

Yes that's the one. :)
If you could find them that would be an amazing help Coin-op!

Thanks

Damn and blast, I had one of these up until a year or so ago, and could easily have scanned a transfer for you.
I'll chase up the bod I sold it to and see if he'll co-operate.

Have you tried Henry Powells, http://www.1armedbandit.co.uk? He helped me out with award card (original one too) and a repro top box banner glass.
As he regularly sells Arcadians. I'm sure he could do the business. There's a couple on his website. I'm looking to getting an Arcadian as I've decided to collect bandits with different mechs. I've got a Jubilee, Sega, Beromat. Next on my list is an Aristocrat, a BDR (God, I said about a year ago how I detest these, but they've grown on me), eventually a Jennings.

Thanks a lot Coin-op and PM this is a massive help as I'm sure you know how hard stuff like this is to find.

Quick update:
I have now got the reels spinning and it is paying out (most of the time). There was a ton of old grease in every nook and cranny of the mech, which I cleaned as best I could. After carefully putting some parts back (never done this sort of thing before, so as you can imagine I sighed a big sigh of relief when everything fitted back together), I gave the handle a few more pulls and the reels started to spin and are getting smoother as I keep playing it.
Still need to work on paint, lights and converting it to 10p. It is currently on new 1p. Does anyone have a picture of the coin chute? I'm sure the one on mine is a DIY conversion.

Finally I've rubbed the chrome down a bit with some wire wool just to get some of the old dirt off. As you can see from the picture posted by coin-op, the chrome was in a bit of a bad state. Got most of the old gunk off now and it's looking much better.

I'll try to post some pictures when I'm done, but not sure how long the rest will take me.

These images are great. Just on the subject of making your own award glasses and flashes, what is the best media for printing on to and with what printing type, e.g. high quality laser etc.. I understand it's just a question of sandwiching your image between perspex or glass, but what's the best way for the lighting to work its way through the image? Is there anywhere you can go with your cleaned up image and get it screen printed? if that's what they call it?? malc

I can see that you don’t subscribe to the Mechanical Memories Magazine :tut … as I have just done a two part article on the basics of this very subject  ,
Take out a subscription now… you don’t know what you're missing 'till you’ve tried it.
Come on, let's keep the magazine alive
As we are on the subject of our Magazine, JC could do with a few more of your articles, photos and stories etc :didact:
You must have a tale to tell... so get your fifteen minutes of fame here :tarah:

I was just about to say that but slotalot beat me to it.
I'm looking forward to reading the second part of your article and hope to bring new life to some of the artwork on my bandits.

Aristocrat Fiesta, restoration

Hiya all, new to the forum.
I've owned an Aristocrat Fiesta for many years now, which doesn't work properly (reels not aligned, not paying out). I would love to get it restored, and get it back to its original working condition. I've emailed Slot Machine Depot a couple of times, but never received a reply. Can anyone on the forum advise me where I could get in touch with someone who could do the work? Would be helpful if it was in the Hertfordshire area. Thank you.

I'm happy to take a look at it on a no fix no pay but I'm in South London. Any good? Can we see a photo please?
