Ruffler and Walker backflashes

Post by hankat »

Does anybody know whether it is possible to either straighten out or replace the backflash on a hattrick machine, it appears to have ruffled up over the years the plastic is now very rigid and i would think brittle.I also have a multiball many happy returns which is starting to go the same way,it probably is one of those things which one has to live with, but if anybody has any advice would be grateful. :-?

I believe some people have tried photographing the backflash and having it stuck onto a piece of plastic with mixed results. Personally, I consider it to be part of the "patina of age" and so I wouldn't try straightening it.
