Dennis Jezzard Tap A Fruit
Anybody remember playing on one of these? Dennis Jezzard Tap a Fruit. I was a keen fan of this machine as a kid and got so good at it I would regularly empty the coin tube. I came across one for sale by chance doing some searches: Swallow Amusements in Hampshire http://www.coin.demon.co.uk/machines.htm
If you scroll down the page you will see it's on sale for £40 but with broken bottom glass. I'm sure this could be repaired. There are a couple of Brencos on there too, one showing sold (a two reeler).

I am a Norwegian collector of "flick-a-coin "machines. I collect mostly models which have history from Norway. These models are similar/working like the Bell fruit-model "Cascade". Some time ago I found pictures of a machine called "Tap a Fruit". Anybody have any thoughts/experiences with this machine ?
Do any of you know of similar models to "Tap a Fruit" and "Cascade"?
I would love to own a Tap a Fruit, so any advice concerning these machines, and how to get hold of one would be greatly appreciated :-)
Here is a video I have made of a Norwegian, approx 1978-version, of a flick a coin-machine named Silver Coin:

Re: "Tap a fruit"and"Cascade"
Hi bamsefar1 and welcome to the Pennymachines forum,
I have found some photos of a machine called "Triple-Tap", it works on the British new penny, so I would think it will be from the 1970s, I don't know the maker's name, or have any other information about it Maybe another forum member can tell you this, good luck with your search....

Re: Tap a Fruit & Cascade
I think Triple-Tap is Brenco and Tap a Fruit is Jezzard.
There are several British all-mechanical and electro-mechanical games of this type, but fingerschlägers (finger-strikers) are really a German and Scandinavian speciality.
I've created a new Dropcase Games category for them in See It Operate!
Recently seen on ebay: floor-standing Cromptons Coppers Galore.

Here's a Brenco Triple Tap still in use at Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre. Different payouts to the previous picture.

I won a eBay-auction for a Tap a fruit a few weeks ago. It was picked up by a courier shortly after, and are hopefully arriving my home the week to come. Needless to say; I am very excited about this buy
"Tap a fruit": How open the machine ?

Anyone with first hand experience with the Tap a fruit ?
How to enter the inside/main body of the machine ? ( top box is accessible from the backside, and the cashbox on front side is opened with key. Front glass is removed by removing chrome-profiles on front).
Feedback is greatly appreciated

Re: "Tap a fruit": How open the machine ?
By doing some internet-detective-work; I found a former owner of a Tap a fruit. He answered my question spot on.
If any of you guys have questions about this machine which I can answer; please don`t hesitate to ask
