New Balls

Post by stoxman22 »

Looking at the mechanism of my Hawtins Allwin it has a paddle type assembly on the ball return which would say to me there should be more than one ball.....Am I right?
Are Allwin balls the same size? If so, anyone out there supplying new ones?

Hi and Happy Christmas!

I don't have a Hawtins allwin to check at the moment but most allwins work with a single ball bearing. However, I generally load two balls into the channel. For one thing, this means that if someone forgets to turn the handle after a win, the next player still receives a ball when they insert a coin. Also it may help to turn the rotary type ball release mechanisms.

Different manufacturers used different ball sizes in their allwins. Tell me the size of the ball in your machine and I can supply matching spares.

Measured the ball and it seems to be bang on 9/16 of an inch, or a fraction over 14mm.
