R&W supplied Tick-Tock

Post by Yorkshire Pudding »

I've just received a Bryans Tick-Tock which I won a couple of weeks ago on ebay. I'm curious about the "Supplied by Ruffler & Walker" badge on the front (see pic).

Were R&W agents for Bryans or did they deal in used machines perhaps? Pardon my ignorance but I'm just curious about the history of the machine :)

Ruffler & Walker did buy in supplies direct from Bryans (and other manufacturers). They were basically amusement machine distributors and sold machines by various manufacturers, but also appeared to have bought in machines to sell specifically under their name such as two player games including the cycle racer, grand national etc. I also have what is clearly a wonders alwin called the patsy which does'nt have a wonders logo on it but does have a Ruffler & Walker badge. Incidentally, I too have a Ruffler & Walker branded tick tock and also a 7 win. :D

I noticed your award card is looking a bit aged. Trickler does some nice repro's.
