Machine lighting
I have an old machine with a 30 watt ballast supplying 2 x 15 watt tubes. It has 2 starters in the circuit but I just cannot get it to work. I could put 2 ballasts in but it should work as is. Has anyone got any wiring ideas to make it work please?
Re: machine lighting
Have you considered using low voltage LED strips instead, that way you can mount the transformer outside the machine... at least you won't get sued, or worse!

Re: machine lighting
Thanks for that, but LEDs won't really shine through the glass. Anyway, I have now got them working properly and safely, so if anyone else gets stuck, I may be able to help.
Re: Machine lighting
I'm not a electrician but here goes - Some years ago I had a problem with the small strip fluros when renovating my juke box. I replaced the starters with FS-U, 4 -80Watt starters (typical large size fluro tube startes) that in theory should have worked, but didn't. I was advised to use S2, 4 - 22Watt starters and they worked OK. Maybe this your problem. Best of luck.
