Ruffler and Walker 'Yours To Be Won'

Postby andy g » Wed Nov 23, 2011 4:37 pm

How rare is the Yours To Be Won? Is it the rarest of the Ruffler large allwins?
I have heard there are only 2 or 3 known but I have pictures of four machines.
Does anybody know of any more?

It's one of those machines that's graduated from 'only known example' (in a sale at Saffron Walden about 15 years ago) to 'quite rare'.

Ruffler and Walker allwins in order of rarity (subjective assessment based upon unreliable memory):

1. Yours To Be Won
2. What's My Line?
3. Earth Satellite
4. Many Happy Returns
5. Hat Trick
6. Fill 'Em Up

No idea if this is accurate.

Just thought I'd add another photo to the list, still very rare, but not quite the 'one of only 2 known examples' quoted in the SH auction in March. I only had to do light restortion, with a wax finish to keep the patina, and a new back to replace the piece of wallboard that existed. The end 2 columns had been made into lose columns, so that needed sorting, and an extra 20 balls to fill all the columns. The cigs are Embassy Regal, if anyone is interested! It shows very few signs of use, and the backflash is in excellent condition. The lock and key are original, cash box is original.
