Mills Horse Head Bonus - Jackpot or No Jackpot
Mills Horse Head Bonus - Jackpot or No Jackpot
As you can tell there's nothing on TV tonight, hence why I'm spending the night reading through the forums here, and bugging everyone with questions galore!!!!
Never really taken much notice before, but have you guys noticed that the Horse Head Bonus machine has a jackpot fitted, it has the jackpot window on front, always full of lovely coins.... But when you look at the payout card there's nothing mentioned about the "Jackpot"!!! You win 20 coins for the Bell-Fruits, and 18 coins when the BONUS is spelt.. but it says nothing about all the coins from the Jackpot being released!!!
Is it just me, am I missing something when I study pictures of the Payout card!!!!!
Maybe someone out there can tell me... does the jackpot ever get released on the Horse Head, or is it just for show?
Thanks
Markymark

Re: Mills Horse Head Bonus - Jackpot or No Jackpot
Just been searching the net for more pictures of the Horse Head... and I found the answer! All the pictures I originally had showed nothing about winning the jackpot.. but after looking at other pictures, I see that some payout cards have in small letters above the Bell-Fruit win, "This Pays the Jackpot" - Solved!!!! But it still leaves me wondering why some payout cards mention the jackpot and others don't.... Ah Well!!! (Maybe I need to get out more!!!!)

Re: Mills Horse Head Bonus - Jackpot or No Jackpot
the early Grotchen machines had a similar payout card,no mention of the jackpot except 'this pays the pool' above the top winning combo

Markymark. I have had to start this thread 'new' as it doesn't seem to allow a 'reply' now?.
Sad to notice these things and possibly even more sad to reply but I too have now noticed that mine doesn't have the 'this takes jackpot'. Possible the plate is a replacement but still no reason to omit it. Mine is the second version horsehead without the odds changer. Andy

Yes the picture you have is of a repro paycard, which as you say should not do away with the Jackpot. Even the later models 1939 still had the Jackpot payable!!!! I've also come across paycards that don't mention the BONUS payout.. but thats another story.. I'm not sure this thread is going anywhere, so let's just say the Bonus Head payout cards are "Random!!!"
Re: Mills Horse Head Bonus - Jackpot or No Jackpot
I believe the below is the correct award for the Bonus, you come across so many machines with the wrong awards, either repros, customised like casino branded or cards replaced from different machines
