I've managed to sort it dudes and dudettes. :) I am well happy. :)

I took these pics and looked it over. Seems like it was stuck in mid play or something. Anyway, I remember on my Bell Fruit 1d Special what to look for.
Anyways, I bent the butterfly so it would spin free; I coined it up, pulled the lever and all fell back into place.

boyahhhhhhhha

Pics before fix and after videos too:

First pic is also a video if you click on it:

Then I took guts out and took these pics:

I gave it a slight clean. It does have the start of some chrome pitting. I may try to clean it, or at least prevent it from spreading.

Smooth playing action. :)

I am well happy. :)

Back of Aristocrat

Post by riche100 »

Topic merged - Site Admin.

On the back of my Aristocrat Arcadian one armed bandit I have 2 sockets, one sunk in and one flush with the back of the machine. One has pins, the other has slots. Are they both joined? . i.e., does it matter which one I hook power to to make the machine's florescent tubes light up?

Thanks in advance,

rich.

Yes it matters.
They were hooked up in a line.
Power in and power out.

Regard them the same as a wall socket. You can't stick your fingers in a mains socket, same here.

I expect your next question will be where can I get the leads with the crazy plugs on the end?
I've never seen any.

Ah, that explains why I am not getting anything out of it.

I've replaced the tubes as a matter of course anyway.
I've misplaced the original power lead I had for it :(
I will open her up and attach a modern power lead somewhere later.

Thank you.

aristocrat arcadian reel bands

Post by riche100 »

Topic merged - Site Admin.

Does anyone have to hand or know where I can find out what the fruits and their sequence is please for an Aristocrat Arcadian machine?

I am getting 4p payouts when win line says 2p win and vice versa.

I will explain below...

First a key for you:
p = plum
b = bell
o = orange
m = melon
bar = bar
L = lemon
7 = 7

I will write in blocks of six - that way you know the centre line is the win-line.

First example:
p b b
c c o According to payout window, should be 4p for 2 cherries. It paid nothing.
m m p

Second :
p b o
c c p Only paid 2p. Should have been 4p for 2 x cherries.
p m o

Third:
p c bar
c b o Paid 4p. Should have been nothing?? (So should bell in the middle be a cherry? )
p p p

Fourth:
p c p
c m o Paid 4p? Should have been 2p for 1 x cherry.
p c l

Fifth and last example:
bar b o
p p bar paid 8p and is correct wit payout display
c b o

Can anyone help me please? Sorry if I have confused with my explanation - only way I could think how to do it.

Regards and thanks in advance,

Richard.

I got my bandit with no reels strips. I'd begin to find the 3 bars first; or the 777. After this, count where is the first cherry on the first reel (the reel on the left). Turn the reel and check the disc (the disc on the extreme right). You must have a hole for this cherry. If OK, continue to locate the cherries on the fist reel and check for the holes. If all the holes are OK with the cherries, then go to the second reel... etc. If not, the reel strips are not in place or not the good ones.

I think the reel strips have been messed about with or I have fruits etc. that have fallen off...

I will wait for someone to list the correct reel band order then go from there.

Thanks.

Wrong reel strips.... as the payout never shows the "aristocrat"

Am I right?

The Aristocrat on the reel is what Aristocrat use as a Bar, so normal.....

What is not right is that your reel strips have 7s and Melons..... This does not match the award..... As has been suggested, the best thing to do to ensure your reel bundle is correct and to confirm each award, is to work your way around each win to confirm the existing strips. Where incorrect, put a little sticker on with the correct award. If you do not know how to do this, it has been explained a number of times before, but you have to stop the clock to allow free movement of the reels and with a long thin screwdriver through the holes in the discs, work out each win. Remember the reels will be offset by a couple of lines.

I could send you my award strips' combinations, but they do vary from machine to machine. They made a number of variants. I suspect the strips or bundle are from another machine.

Another unusual thing on your machine is that the belly award glass states 12 for a Bar win... Most were converted, after decimalisation, to 10, sometimes being scratched out.

urbanbody's advice is correct and the most accurate way for you to resolve your problem.

treefrog's observations concerning the anomalies confirms it.

The ones that need a lot of twisting & twiddling back & forth and shouting at 'til they work I recall were the best riche100 lad.
!!HIDING!! .
Someone will be along soon to advise I'm sure.

They should be 240v and rated between 4w and 65w.....so if you search ebay for fluorescent starters, you should see loads and they are very cheap
