Aristocrat Arcadian
Re: aristocrat machine
Click on the 'Auction' tab in the pane on the left hand side of this screen. That will take you to the PennyMachines auction feature where you should then register by clicking on the 'Join' option at the top of the screen.
Hope this helps and all the best with the sale!

Re: aristocrat machine
Nice to see the Aristo on the auction page, but have to say you're wrong about the unfriendy auction page. I used it for the first time to auction the Little Duke two weeks ago and it could not have been easier

Correct. It's the first time the Buy it Now feature was used.aristomatic wrote:I'm presuming that like the other two items remaining, the Western auction listing also had a buyitnow option as the other two still have?

I'm sorry you found it too difficult. You should only need to resize if your filesizes are too large to upload in a reasonable time. Anyway, I'm thankful for the feedback and know the Auction/Market needs improving. I plan to replace it with a smoother more integrated system.riche100 wrote:Tried to upload just 4 pics, wouldn't let me ...said resize this and that ... with 3 auctions all with a lot more than 4 pictures to show - too much of a headache.
Re: aristocrat machine
That's just it, sometimes, in fact I know, the more you show the better. It gives folk less opportunity to say, "Well I didnt see this and that and it's not what I expected." So 4 pics isn't really alot of pics to allow for a machine, as you have all 4 sides to picture and inside the machine and any special features or damage etc., etc.
Also, when you've already got the pics, you go through it all, downloading them to the forum... you wait and wait, you click 'add' or 'upload', can't think which, and it just says 'files too big over 4000 summut, you can't add them.'
So you must go away, resize then come back, etc., etc...
The auction place is a good forum and facility. It's prob just me moaning, after all, it was free and I have sold a machine already and had a bid, so can't be that bad.
Thanks for replying

Re: Aristocrat machine
Just my view, but I don't see the Auction page in quite that way. When I put the Duke on, I put as much info as needed to attract people then redirected them to the auction section of the Forum where it was easy to put videos, photos, and for people to ask questions and for me to answer them. The resizing of photos is actually a plus for the seller as it saves so much time uploading the photos. It's not necessary to leave the Forum to resize them - just drop into Photoshop or something like it. Takes less than a few seconds. I actually expected the Auction page to be limited. Most are on other sites, but we on the forum have the bonus of being able to move quickly to the forum auction section where other sites do not.
The Duke I was selling didn't sell, but it got to 1400 pounds! (just 400 short of the reserve if anyone's interested) but the page worked very well and all the bidders seemed happy with the info available. Needs a few tweaks, but not a lot I feel. Keep it simple and add a link to the forum auction section.

Right, dunno if this is the right thing to do, but I am going to do it anyway.
I've got an Arcadian Aristocrat on the auction site and it's not selling too well at all, so is may as well find room and keep it.
Here are the issues: I pull the lever and the reels spin. I have no reel brakes (i.e., I don't hear the 'click click click' as the fingers engage with the reels), and I don't think the butterfly is working. I will take a pictures and videos as I am keen to fix it now to be honest.

Re: aristocrat arcadian
I've managed to sort it dudes and dudettes. I am well happy.
I took these pics and looked it over. Seems like it was stuck in mid play or something. Anyway, I remember on my Bell Fruit 1d Special what to look for.
Anyways, I bent the butterfly so it would spin free; I coined it up, pulled the lever and all fell back into place.
boyahhhhhhhha
Pics before fix and after videos too:
First pic is also a video if you click on it:
Then I took guts out and took these pics:
I gave it a slight clean. It does have the start of some chrome pitting. I may try to clean it, or at least prevent it from spreading.
Next pic is a video:
Smooth playing action.
I am well happy.

No longer for sale in the Auction, as I've fixed it and am keeping the little mite.

On the back of my Aristocrat Arcadian one armed bandit I have 2 sockets, one sunk in and one flush with the back of the machine. One has pins, the other has slots. Are they both joined? . i.e., does it matter which one I hook power to to make the machine's florescent tubes light up?
Thanks in advance,
rich.

Re: Aristocrat Arcadian
Yes it matters.
They were hooked up in a line.
Power in and power out.
Regard them the same as a wall socket. You can't stick your fingers in a mains socket, same here.
I expect your next question will be where can I get the leads with the crazy plugs on the end?
I've never seen any.

Re: Aristocrat Arcadian
Ah, that explains why I am not getting anything out of it.
I've replaced the tubes as a matter of course anyway.
I've misplaced the original power lead I had for it
I will open her up and attach a modern power lead somewhere later.
Thank you.

Does anyone have to hand or know where I can find out what the fruits and their sequence is please for an Aristocrat Arcadian machine?
I am getting 4p payouts when win line says 2p win and vice versa.
I will explain below...
First a key for you:
p = plum
b = bell
o = orange
m = melon
bar = bar
L = lemon
7 = 7
I will write in blocks of six - that way you know the centre line is the win-line.
First example:
p b b
c c o According to payout window, should be 4p for 2 cherries. It paid nothing.
m m p
Second :
p b o
c c p Only paid 2p. Should have been 4p for 2 x cherries.
p m o
Third:
p c bar
c b o Paid 4p. Should have been nothing?? (So should bell in the middle be a cherry? )
p p p
Fourth:
p c p
c m o Paid 4p? Should have been 2p for 1 x cherry.
p c l
Fifth and last example:
bar b o
p p bar paid 8p and is correct wit payout display
c b o
Can anyone help me please? Sorry if I have confused with my explanation - only way I could think how to do it.
Regards and thanks in advance,
Richard.

Re: aristocrat arcadian reel bands
I got my bandit with no reels strips. I'd begin to find the 3 bars first; or the 777. After this, count where is the first cherry on the first reel (the reel on the left). Turn the reel and check the disc (the disc on the extreme right). You must have a hole for this cherry. If OK, continue to locate the cherries on the fist reel and check for the holes. If all the holes are OK with the cherries, then go to the second reel... etc. If not, the reel strips are not in place or not the good ones.
Re: aristocrat arcadian reel bands
I think the reel strips have been messed about with or I have fruits etc. that have fallen off...
I will wait for someone to list the correct reel band order then go from there.
Thanks.

Re: Aristocrat Arcadian
Wrong reel strips.... as the payout never shows the "aristocrat"
Am I right?

Re: Aristocrat Arcadian
The Aristocrat on the reel is what Aristocrat use as a Bar, so normal.....
What is not right is that your reel strips have 7s and Melons..... This does not match the award..... As has been suggested, the best thing to do to ensure your reel bundle is correct and to confirm each award, is to work your way around each win to confirm the existing strips. Where incorrect, put a little sticker on with the correct award. If you do not know how to do this, it has been explained a number of times before, but you have to stop the clock to allow free movement of the reels and with a long thin screwdriver through the holes in the discs, work out each win. Remember the reels will be offset by a couple of lines.
I could send you my award strips' combinations, but they do vary from machine to machine. They made a number of variants. I suspect the strips or bundle are from another machine.
Another unusual thing on your machine is that the belly award glass states 12 for a Bar win... Most were converted, after decimalisation, to 10, sometimes being scratched out.
