Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
I seem to remember there being something that holds the coin, but I have more than a couple of machines so might be thinking of a Soda Stream or something.

Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
This is how the mech looks before starting. Coin held in lower position
Then you put a penny in.
Then you pull the handle, lower coin released into cash drawer
As reels stop spinning and click into place top coin is released and falls down to lower position
Ready to play again

Thanks mate, I see yours has some sort of pin or similar sticking out that holds the penny in position, mine has not so I need to look into that

Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
Right Keith, I'm back from hitch hiking over to Lincoln and back.
I've now got the beast on the table in front of me and stripped (well it is nearly 80F)
Here is a video of the coin action ......
The springy wire thingy you ask about merely guides the falling coin vertically down and perhaps holds it in place until the previous coin has departed. The small retractable ledge which keeps the coin in place seems to be your issue.
Here are photos of the little blighter in question .......
You'll see it comes in two parts which are held in place by a flat spring loaded clip. This allows the backplate to be screwed to the mechanism while allowing the bendy bit to pivot under the clip.
I expect the backplate part of yours is still in place, and it's just the moving part that has been lost?
I hope that helps.
If I'm right and the backplate on yours is still there, it might be easier for me to make you the ledge bit (no charge).
However if you need to repair it yourself, I'm happy to lend you the machine at the next Coventry Auction Sunday 26th November so you can template what you need.
Regards Jeremy

Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
Ah I see it Jeremy.
Thank you for going to all that trouble.
Mine is missing all together. I made a little thing which seemed to work OK but now I've seen the real deal I will be able to replicate it.
Thank you again mate, much appreciated.
