Groetchen Sparks Pictures
Does anyone own one of these Sparks trade stimulators? Is there any chance you could take a few photos of the inside mechanism as I appear to be missing a few bits. I'm interested in seeing the lever that connects to the "kickers" that spin the 3 reels and also the part that detects a coin is inserted and allows play. Any close up photos appreciated - I did ask a while ago, so any further photos or resources would be great.

Don't have a Sparks, only a Groetchen Mercury from the same year. I thought the mech might be the same.
NOT the easiest machine to photo.

If you click on each picture and then click again you'll be able to zone right in.
PS I like the clever wire cage on the top of Paul's coin tube to stop someone picking it up and shaking the coins out. Think I'll make one of those.

Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
Really appreciate the photos guys, both sets have helped and given me a starting point. Cheers
Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
BP I know it's an old post but wondered if you still had your Sparks?
If so, is it possible to get a closer look at where the coin falls into position? Yours seems to have some sort of wire coming off it. Mine does not and I can't get mine to work right. If I adjust the screw so it takes a penny the next different penny will either be too thick or too thin. There is no way to get it to accept all pennies.

Yup, I still have it.
I'll dig it out later on and post over the weekend.

Keith old bean.
It's got to be here, and I'm confident that when I've found it the key will also be in the box or one of the boxes.

Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
Very likely, not sure where that is though
Keith, what do you exactly mean when you say ........
"If I adjust the screw so it takes a penny the next different penny will either be too thick or too thin."
I don't understand why the next penny should be different.
And too thick or thin for what? Going into the machine or being paid out?

Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
Going into the machine mate but I think I have worked it out that something is missing that holds the penny in position for when you operate the lever, someone has tried to use a screw instead which will only work on a set thickness of penny, something is missing and I don't know what it looks like without seeing another

Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
No need, the good news is I've found it, and its key too!
The not so good news is that they're both 80 miles away
So give me a few days and I'll collect it.

Re: Groetchen Sparks Pictures
Looks like mine is missing a part that holds the coin and has nothing to do with that spring wire at all.
