1935 Genco pinball voltage help.
Does anyone know what sort of voltage a 1935 Genco Spitfire pinball table would be running at back in the day? I know it's supposed to be ran from dry cell batteries but what voltage - I have no clue?
Can't find much info about it anywhere.

Re: 1935 Genco pinball voltage help.
Early electro-mechanical pinballs ran on dry cells at 4 or 6 volts (for scoring lamps, etc.) up to 24 volts (if solenoids were incorporated). Batteries were soon replaced with mains "power packs" stepping down to the appropriate voltages. According to Russ Jensen PINBALL TROUBLE-SHOOTING (PART 2) "One exception to this was Genco which utilized A.C. for lamps and D.C. (using a rectifier mounted on the transformer) to operate solenoids and relays on 12 to 15 volts D.C." If in doubt, start with low voltages, working up.

I run my 1934 exhibit rebound on a 12v SLA battery seems to do the trick

Re: 1935 Genco pinball voltage help.
I've just got a Genco Spitfire for restoration.
I've replaced all wiring as it was in poor condition, tested solenoids all ok.
In previous post it states 12 volt SLA battery is suitable but not what Ah the battery is.
At present I am testing with a 12 volt low amp charger which works OK on one item but when more than one thing is operated, the lights dim and kickers go slow.
Any ideas as to what size 12 volt battery Ah?

Did this end up working for you? I also have a Spit Fire that I am restoring. I'm considering an AC adapter if 12V 7A is a good strength.
