Bryans Museum

Post by raj »

Did I dream it, or was a recent post suggesting the museum had disappeared at Drayton Manor  ? I have just checked their website and it is still up and running, right next to the toilets! '!' http://www.draytonmanor.co.uk/media/fil ... 20Site.pdf , so was I away with the fairies that night ? :burp:

I haven't visited the museum for years, but interesting to see it now includes a Rockola Jigsaw pintable, German Foosball and R&W Ice Hockey.

Hi Tobis

Did you notice whether the Bryans Museum is accessible separately from the amusement park or is it necessary to pay the full entrance fee to visit the museum.

Thanks John

Jim Bryan used to get us in for free by giving his brother a call. Sadly they're both gone now.
You might try speaking to Colin Bryan who runs Drayton Manor.
**phoneup** "I need to look inside a Retreeva to fix my machine." ;-)
Might be worth a try.

:o that you should mention the Retreeva to tempt Colin to allow me access to the museum because I have just started to build one and may need some dimensions of the mech. parts if I can't suss them out for myself.

This is the progress so far, plus a big heap of oak ready to machine for the case

Not entirely coincidence. I recalled you asked last year for pictures of the Retreeva mechanism and nobody responded. Glad to see you weren't discouraged. Looks like you've made an excellent start. !!THUMBSX2!!

Thanks for your kind comments Mr PM.
I did strike lucky with my post, as a member of this forum contacted me privately shortly afterwards and then sent me a wodge of very useful A4 sized photos plus a fully dimensioned drawing of the case.
I am extremely grateful for this help; it just goes to show how brilliant this forum and its members are. !THUMBS!
