OK,

Taken a while to dig out some locks....The EVVA lock does fit, except the top head does not sit flush, but with a little scraping could be made to sit flush. Depth is fine and will need the tab to be clipped to create a hook shape. The tabs are non standard to other lock tabs. Part number for EVVA lock is MB 23G E84564 NP.....That is what's written on the box

I have seen many other locks as replacements including standard medium barrels fruit machine locks, but I have found an identical flush fitting Yale replacement as per the blurry photo, 22mm depth, 18mm barrel diameter with a 21mm head.... The problem is I cannot find a part number on it and bought new, but with no packaging...... This is an identical replacement for the Zeiss lock and has standard tabs and Yale keys...

To me they look like standard locks fitted to German wall mount machines. I do have a couple I think but no keys. A good locksmith should be able to alter the lock to a new key. I have had that done a few times. Nothing worse than getting summat like a Bingolette and having those cheap nasty cam locks on ebay fitted.

Cheers guys and yes that's exactly what they're for - German wall machines, and I'm after Zeiss locks with or without keys. :D

Interesting ....... but what a useless website.

No dimensions or prices.

Now that looks quite useful (if dimensions are right) and a reasonable price.

Viro locks all have the maker's stamp on the face. This is likely to be a cheap Chinese copy, however since we are trying to replace a quality German lock with anything that might fit, I suppose it is of little significance... Am I being pedantic? !PUZZLED!

Good luck with the lock issue. I've never found anything to do the job. Have you tried a 'proper' locksmith, as opposed to the high street franchises for a key? Failing that, try the German websites that specialise in GW machines, 'links' from our Home PAge might help.

Alternatives do exist, I remember posting one on here years ago made by modern lock manufacturor ERA, very similar size and depth.....problem is I do not have the part number. Fairly certain Yale do a similar one.

The Yale locks that are very close to the original Zeiss locks are in fact vehicle locks for Rolls Royce cars and cost upwards of £52 each!

Hi,
I have a Bingolet and the key has snapped. I have been to a locksmith who has been around for years and he can't get any blank to fit. Says the lock is Swedish.
