Is an auction the same as a conversion?
No, a conversion is often a religious experience, it's good but not that good. This one is however a bit like a convention for us lot.

Run by forum members for collectors in a venue with a nice warm bar and bacon butties, then there is the Sat night before when some meet up for a meal and a chat and the Sunday night after when others meet for a meal and a chat (the second one is only for those with any money left).

I personally had a great weekend, sold 5 lots bought 8 lots (inc. two machines) met up with a forum member from Holland, paid homage to the forum gurus who were mostly all there, re captured my youth by sitting back, closing my eyes and listening to 50 or so machines being "tested" by prospective buyers, had an nice Indian meal with my Dutch friend before he flew home, stayed in a nice hotel and drove home Monday with no money left... Who could ask for anything more? !!THUMBSX2!!

Oooooo, sounds pretty sweet. You happen to know when the next one is, and whereabouts it will be?

The way we run our auctions they tend to be more of a gathering than a production line.

Hi all,

I have the same machine. It’s missing a plate inside that holds the coin against the rail It’s been badly replaced with a piece of tin. However, this proves unreliable and the coin often slides past.

Would anyone be able to send me photos of what the plate should look like so I can make a replica?

Please see attached photos for clarification.

Thanks
James
