Bryans Clock machine
Re: Bryans Clock machine
Hi BP, yes that is the one but if you read the previous posts the question was about the measurement, as the one I have here is not central but aprox 50mm off central. I was just checking to see if that was right. By the way did you sort out pics of the duomatt bits?
Re: Bryans Clock machine
I have just measured mine: the top of the cabinet is approximately 18 inches long, the button is 9 inches from the end, so in that regard it is central, but the top is about 10 inches deep and the button is 8 1/2 inches from the back, immediately in front of the coin entry. If yours is nowhere near this measurement then I suggest you post a photo of the top and we go from there.
Re: Bryans Clock machine
Just looked at Treefrogs photo in this thread and it shows the skill stop in the (seemingly) correct position so I don't know quite what can be 50mm off central.

Re: Bryans Clock machine
This is a scanned photo (on paper not digital!) of my clock, from during its restoration. Hope this helps. Presently I can't get to the machine.
Re: Bryans Clock machine
These were hand built and assembled machines so they are often all over the place, 5mm is nothing and well within acceptable limits, not noticeable in the photo. That is unless the button it's jamming up or not working? Then you may have issues with the wood having moved slightly.

You need a better Brief, courts tend to be more lenient about parole over Christmas.bryans fan wrote: Presently I can't get to the machine.

BP's jokes are the funniest and cleverest jokes ever conceived, ...I say this because at the moment he has a Columbia Deluxe bandit he's un-jammed for me and I'm hoping he will take a long look at an electric exciter I've bought but can't get to work and need for my "Electric Amuser".

BP was implying that our dear friend's plea, "presently I can't get to the machine" arose because he was detained during Her Majesty's pleasure. The queen's speech now concluded, he should be at liberty again. I hope that clears things up.

As a Yank, I find the phrase perplexing. What pleasures a 90 year old woman? And don't say Prince Phillip. That ship sailed long ago.Her Majesty's pleasure

Hi, right I am getting down to the nitty gritty here on the mechenism. Does anyone have a spare arm that the penny sits on, that rotates when the hand held dial is rotated. Mine is broken in two places. Or any suggestions on how to manufacture one? Pic of the broken one below.
