Legality of selling on facebook?

I created a page for selling machines on facebook seeing as it's hard to sell anywhere public now but have since deleted it as I was told it is illegal and the Gambling Commission will probably be in touch. Is this correct?
There are other pages advertising them so either facebook hasn't been approached by the Gambling Commission to stop it yet or they have just been lucky perhaps?

I would think asking the question here is an invitation to the Commission? Do you have a link, although I don't have a facebook account?

Question is, who tipped off facebook? Same person who tips off ebay to stop machines being sold by anyone but him?

No Paul, no one reported it. I closed it down on my own because I got told it was illegal to host somewhere to sell bandits and the likes without the correct procedure, whatever that is?
I suppose it must be correct if ebay, gumtree, etc. can't advertise them.
I just didn't fancy some hefty fine from the Gambling Commission.

You could have got round that without any problem by not listing prices and just saying anyone interested in owning a slot machine could contact you on how to go about it.

Depends on how the Gambling Commission seen it I suppose?
It doesn't work on eBay etc.
