I have a 250v to 2x24v transformer but I am getting strange readings from the 24v side, definitely not getting 24v. I have another 24v transformer but I don't know what wires on the original transformer is positive and negative. Anyone got any ideas?
The picture shows the 4 wires coming from the 24v side.

What are the strange readings that you're getting?

Sounds like it's going to earth intermittently, perhaps a short on the winding?

Are you getting proper voltage readings from that one?
