Illuminate prize display
Hi all,
Is it possible to buy new fruit payout displays for machine award payouts? Mine looks a bit tatty when light is on...
It's a Sega Windsor like this one.
Thx in advance!!

If he doesn't, you can always search for him in "Members" and then pm him
Re: Illuminate prize display.
Is it exactly like the one above as there are quite a few variances. I will have a look as have quite a few kicking around like the ones below which another member was interested in last year, but never heard anymore.
Using plastic backed copies will never look as good backlit I am afraid, like all the copies of Jennings and Sega awards etc being sold over the last 10 years, they just have a wishy washy look, always a shame when I see a nice Jennings and someone has dumped the original for a nasty plastic replacement, nothing wrong with a few scratches...

Hi TF.
This is exactly the same as mine, the type with no jackpot.
When the lights are off it looks fine..... Wonder if it's me that's being a bit ocd about it?

Re: Illuminate prize display
When it comes to machines we are all entitled to be as OCD as we want. Don't lose sight though of the value of the machine.
Please don't be offended but that's not a high end bandit and you may easily pass its value. Even in immaculate condition I wouldn't pay more than £180 for it. If I were selling it I wouldn't expect it to fetch more than £220.
There are nicer bandits coming up on Sunday at Coventry with either no reserve or reserves lower than I've just quoted.
You may of course have your own reasons "sentimental or other" in which case there's no reason to stick to realistic values, and you should just do your own thang!

ps I have CDO. It's like OCD except it's in alphabetical order and just a bit tidier I find.

Re: Illuminate prize display
Thanks' for the advice & info... I paid £200 for it in good working order.
Always wanted a Jennings but the prices are out of my reach.

Re: Illuminate prize display
I can do you a new glass if Tom can't find what you want, the modern vinyls mounted on glass or acrylic are not wishy washy especially if the base color is black.
Re: Illuminate prize display
I thought you were talking about the award glass, but if the lower Phongraphic glass, I have, but this is a common problem on lots of machines from this period with backlighting, the paint shrinks leaving crazy paving effect.
I have lived with this as I like originality, but if not take up Paul’s offer

Re: Illuminate prize display
Had a look and found three of the lower glass panels, one was bad and two not so bad, but with minor marks and shrinkage on the perimeter. Not seen your glass so no idea if better or worse

Re: Illuminate prize display
I've not seen any in the collection. I reckon one of yours and a glass paint kit would be the best bet.

Re: Illuminate prize display
Mine is better than the first and probably similar to the second one so I think i'll live with it and maybe as was mentioned to try some glass paint to touch up..
