Back bonnet

Post by dutchboy »

Evening all, I have a question about the back bonnet of an Jennings Chief. When the side is bent up about 1,5- 2 inches, would it be possible to bend it back when you heat it? I don’t know if it will break or will damage the chrome (I don’t want to burn my fingers :D ). Thanks in advance.

I would say it will probably snap, alloy is not good for bending back, if it's not fitting anyway you could give it a go as you will have nothing to lose?
It will deffo need heat to stand any chance of success but don't know about the chrome.

Thanks for that widget, I was afraid of that. The machine is for sale, but it’s very rare so almost impossible to find another one.
