Mei - all you need to do is google "kicker catcher mechanism" and there are plenty.
Re: Kicker and catcher machine
Thanks to all of you who replied. I had no idea there were so many versions of the same machine. I particularly like the Art Deco looking case of the earlier machine. Nice touch.
Re: J.F Frantz MFG. Co. Long Shot restoration and top pendant
So after a short hiatus I have finally got around to finishing my Long Shot kicker/ catcher. After scarfing in new oak and restoring the cabinet I managed to source a new top marque from Crow River Trading (highly recommendable and great communication). I also managed to persuade my old Man to machine me two new brass knobs and shafts. I also had to make a new metal kicker and back door with new lock. It was a pleasant restoration and addictively fun to play.

Excellent job, Ollie. Your restoration is a beauty.
I too second your recommendation of Roger Hilden at Crow River Trading Company. He's top notch and a friend of mine.

Brilliant! Great to see it looking so cheerful and tempting to play again.

You have done a great job. I really like that marquee. Might have to save a few $$ and get on to Roger.

Is this what Master Football was inspired by?
Clearly American. Apart from the '5 cents', the (headless) footballer appears to be wearing a diving suit.

Re: Frantz Kicker Catcher
It’s strangely compelling as most Frantz games were... Dodge City is a ripper too.

Anyone have any info on this machine? I've never seen the like, but the maker's name rings a bell. It's a nice looking machine in fine condition.

Re: J.F.Frantz machine
sold for £490 in last Sunday's EH auction.Lot 51: Pot Of Gold By J.F. Frantz Manufacturing Company
c. 1955, working order, older American restoration, the cast topflash is ingeniously sprung to avoid it being broken off by frustrated players! Back door is a replacement. US Dime (10c). Amusement Only – No Payout. Back door has replacement lock with key. Approximately 15 inches (38.1 cm) Wide, 25 inches (63.5 cm) High, 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) Deep.
The example above looks nicer imo.

Re: J F Frantz MFG. Co. kicker catchers
Were a number of the Frantz machines "reissued" in the '90s using original parts/castings but with new cabinets and artwork by someone in the States who bought a load of factory
moulds/patterns off a Frantz family member? Not sure it included the kicker catcher model or whether it was other Frantz models? Or is it just another "story" I picked up along the way?
