Rare Improved Tivoli Wall Machine.
Don’t know its true age, make, value and what bits are missing. Please see the following photos, hope you can help me out.
It sure has a charm to it with its unusual circular play field and beautifully carved front.

Thought I recognised this chap and a quick delve into my trusty old computer hard drive revealed that it sold on eBay in 2011, seems to have lost its top pediment now although not sure if it would have been original. Nice machine.

I think I saw this at Terry Price's jukebox shop in the 1990s. In those days early British wall machines were much sought after by the first generation of collectors, two of whom bid against each other to acquire it on the basis of photos only. I can't remember the figure, but it was high and I suspect the buyer didn't realize how much was missing.

I'm not sure I've seen another example, or even picture of this game. It probably did have a carved pediment of some sort, but not the one above. I can't make out where the coin slot is - bottom right side above the trigger? :!?!: Clearly the object is to shoot your coin into the middle channel, whereupon it would be brought to rest against a lever (missing) which would release the token payout mechanism (missing) when the knob (bottom left side of cabinet) is pulled. A coin in the left channel would, I assume, be returned - i.e., directed by a coin track (missing) back to the payout cup (missing) below the token payout knob. A coin in the right or 'lost' channel would obviously have been guided to a cash box by more coin channelling.

Quite a project if you intend to get it working, but very eye-pleasing.

Coin slot is top rhd side PM, you can see it in the third photo looking in from the back.

Ah yes, so unfortunately the coin acceptor and chute to the runners are also missing.

It looks like the 'lost' sticker might be a later addition, so perhaps both right and left channels were coin return originally with the lose area on either side of them. That would be a more likely arrangement on reflection.

A few more pics of the remains of this game, coin entry clearly shown in first pic, what puzzles me is where does the coin enter the play field when flicked, as the play field looks too high for the coin just to drop from the entry point. I am assuming that the projectile is the coin.

But Argee I think once the coin is fired it will loop around and around like an allwin does. So the entry point is much lower to allow the circle track to join back with itself. There looks like a channel behind the wood playfield backing for the coin to drop into not too far below the coin entry.

What material are the stars and moon made of?

The moon and stars are hand cut tin with some kind of glitter and paint applied to them.

I used to own this, never did sort it, the top flash came with it when I bought it, so sold it with it. I think there was a bag of bits with it as every time I moved it something fell off.
