Have a look at 152777792527 on ebay, or similar ones for approx £2.34 inc. post from China - you can't beat them. I had my doubts at first and had one on test over night - no problem, not even warm. The 8 - 22 watt also OK for 4 watt tubes. If I have any problems, I strip the old control gear out and replace with one of these. One has been in a Jennings for approx three years, still going strong.

Thanks for all your help.
I have 2 fluorescent new lamps and 2 starters. When I plug it in one lights and one tries to light, when I swap the starters around the same occurs in the opposite lights.
I could do with knowing where and which to get to match my Philips 61411/41 aluminium good one, or do I replace everything? Where would you purchase them please?

Typical lack of series starter issue. Go to City Electrical Factors or similar electrical wholesaler (not B&Q, etc.) and ask for series starters. That will sort out your problem.

The new starters will come in a white plastic case. If you carefully bend back the tabs on the original aluminium starters, you will be able to transfer the cases to the new ones.
