Bryans Clock Streamline on New Penny ??

Post by deano67 »

Hi,
Just picked up my latest addition.
Bryans Clock, lovely original condition, front coin box but running on new pennies ? The top casting looks original with no sleeve to reduce coin hole size.
Could anyone shed some light on this particular machine with manuf. dates etc.
May sell it or may keep it,so offers etc ?
Cheers.

Could really do with some more info on why its on new penny, dates etc.I should of asked for valuations rather than offers.
My fault,sorry .

Obviously dates post 1971 then. There's a Bryans 1973 trade show stand photo in the Arcades book by Braithwaite showing most of the more well known machines all offered on new penny. They just kept making them.

I thought it must be 1971 onwards but thought maybe the top casting and some internals may of been changed when decimalisation came in.Maybe the factory offered newer castings for older machines ?
Really didnt know they made this model into the 70s.
Any more info anyone ?
Cheers
