Anyone know if these guys were from a machine or some sort of hand operated game? There seems to be a spring loaded leg and a hole in the base plate, but nothing to operate the leg?
Somebody knows... Maybe you?

Hi The footballers were used on a fairground stall. The player put a penny on the slope, pulled back his leg and let go. If the penny landed onto a square you would win anything from two to six; if the penny hit on a line you lost. I converted one of these a couple of years ago to make the footballer kick the penny into the goal, just as a coin return machine. Pete.
