Not too difficult to deduce the origins of that as Tudah P Glover states 'Tudah Walter Glover.....was a great one for joking and misleading people' so my guess is that he intentionally created that 'trade mark' we all know so well with the 'amorphous' W just above the thumb stop, as a humorous graphic image.Brigham wrote:I 'wonder' where the other rumour originated?
