Just about to get going on this one and wondering if someone has an example to share photos of please? I'm missing a couple doors and the bent tube stand, but do have some photos of the attached complete machine on legs residing in a German museum. My example being an export model on Penny with English instructions thankfully. And nice Freddie Bolland supplier decals on either end. Does state on the glass locking plates that it was Patent applied for, but have never come across anything as yet, though it was a long time ago I first searched. I don't even remember coming across a specific date for the machine either? Guessing late '20s. Not listed on the German Automatix site strangely. Cheers.

I am afraid that I am unable to offer any information which will help. I have found three pictures stored on my Hard drive which are of a similar, single player, machine.

Not sure about that. Would the glass not pose a problem to cut?
I have found another couple of pics of a different game, but with similarities. I have attached for reference, rather than I think they are of any help.

Glass isn't hard to cut with the correct diamond blades and water for cooling. But pretty sure that single player version has a plastic dome. And note it doesn't use the original acid etched name plate straps to hold the dome in place, or the original outer steel frame to protect the glass. Though as the base/floor wood looks like a much smaller pine replacement maybe the frame went missing with the original base? My safety frame is currently dismantled in the photos to save space.

I was offered one of those a few years ago, the first I'd seen. I don't think it's a conversion.

Forum member Luckystar had the same version as yours GW, but many years ago. I will hunt for pictures.

Apart from replacing the ceramic trigger handles with pistols, the German games are pretty much clones of Gustave Staar's Football Staar, which was patented in 1926 (the machine in BF's second post). Patent GB275937
